Channagiri is a taluk of Davanagere District and is situated between Shimoga and Chitradurga. It is very well connected by road to Bangalore, Davanagere, Shimoga, Birur, Chitradurga and Bhadravathi. Nearest railway stations are Shimoga (40 KMS) to the west and Holalkere (25 kms) to the east.
